What is the Jewish mission: adding light or destroying evil? In this class we will explore the nature of Judaism’s mission through the laws and themes of Chanukkah. Taught by Pardes Faculty Fellow Rabbi Jonathan Leener, we will discuss the Jewish role of being a “light unto the nations” during a time of war and conflict. Join us to examine how Chanukkah’s laws and history inform the ongoing Jewish mission to balance between spreading light and destroying evil. This class is proudly in partnership with The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies.

Cost: Free
