Biblical Hebrew From Theory to Practice
This ten-week course is intended for students who can read and translate some verses and short paragraphs. This course is for students who have learned Biblical grammar, consisting mainly of the verb conjugations in the main patterns, the reversive Vav, nouns and prepositions, as well as frequent vocabulary words in the Biblical narrative. During this course we will work on reading and understanding verses and short paragraphs graded from an easy to a more complex style and vocabulary. We will be using two books, Tanakh and Learning Biblical Hebrew workbook-A Graded Reader with Exercises. Please be sure to purchase both books by clicking the titles above.

Alisa Lottati has an extensive background in teaching Modern and Classical Hebrew at various levels within the Ulpan method at schools and universities. She holds an M.A. in Education and Jewish Studies from George Washington University in D.C., a B.A. in Political Science and History from Haifa University, and a teaching degree from Oranim College. Alisa has also undergone training in Hebrew at the Center courses, offered by Brandeis University and the NETA language program.
