Hebrew Through Israeli Songs

This five-week course celebrates Israel’s musical journey from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and today! We’ll explore the evolution of Israeli music, from the nostalgic tunes that defined past eras to the modern beats resonating with today’s generation. Listen, translate, sing, and engage in discussions on Israeli musical influences and its history. No textbook is needed for this class, just bring yourself and invite your friends. This course is for intermediate and advanced Hebrew students only.
Note: Any refunds must be issued within one week from the start date of your class.
Registration must be processed through a computer (laptop or desktop) only.

Mira Rosenthal is a senior lecturer in Hebrew Language and Literature. She has been teaching Hebrew at Cal State University Northridge and American Jewish University’s Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies since 1999. She received her teaching certification in 1978 from Gordon College in Haifa, Israel.
