Learn modern Hebrew online in the ulpan immersion method used in Israel.

This seven-week course is designed for advanced students who have a solid understanding of Hebrew. The topics covered in this course include the historical and contemporary aspects of the Kibbutz, the usage of the preposition “on” and the verb “to be” in the past and present tense, expressing possibilities and impossibilities, and an introduction to the renowned Israeli poet Rachel Bluestein. We will be using the textbook, Hebrew from Scratch Part 2, lesson 2. Purchase the textbook on Amazon here.

Instructor: Alisa Lottati

Alisa Lottati has an extensive background in teaching Modern and Classical Hebrew at various levels within the Ulpan method at schools and universities. She holds an M.A. in Education and Jewish Studies from George Washington University in D.C., a B.A. in Political Science and History from Haifa University, and a teaching degree from Oranim College. Alisa has also undergone training in Hebrew at the Center courses, offered by Brandeis University and the NETA language program.
