Hebrew Blessings and Prayers

Learn core blessings and prayers in transliteration to participate in Jewish life with confidence!

This five-week course is for individuals of all experience levels. Throughout the course, we will learn the most commonly recited Jewish prayers and blessings. The class will be conducted using transliteration, which means the Hebrew text will be presented alongside phonetic pronunciation for ease of learning. The essential prayers and blessings we will cover include the High Holy Day blessings, Shabbat blessings, Aliyot for Torah reading, and core prayers like the Shema and V’ahavta. By the end of this course, you will be able to actively participate in Jewish rituals and ceremonies with confidence.

Modern Hebrew Beginner 1

Learn modern Hebrew online in the ulpan immersion method used in Israel.

This ten-week course is for students who have no prior knowledge of Hebrew. We will focus on building foundational skills in reading, writing, and basic conversational Hebrew. We will be utilizing the textbook, Hebrew from Scratch Part 1, units 1-5. Click HERE to purchase the required textbook for this course.

Modern Hebrew Beginner 3

Learn modern Hebrew online in the Ulpan immersion method used in Israel.

This 10-week course is for beginning students who are new to Hebrew. Topics include vocabulary about the house and the apartment,shoping and meeting with acquaintances as well as adjectives, masculine cardinal numbers from 1 to 10, prepositions, and days of the week. We will be using the textbook, “Hebrew from Scratch” Part 1, lessons 2-5. If you haven’t purchased the textbook yet, you can find it on Amazon HERE.
