This ten-week course is designed for advanced students who have a solid understanding of Hebrew. The topics covered in this course include the historical and contemporary aspects of the Kibbutz, the usage of the preposition “on” and the verb “to be” in the past and present tense, expressing possibilities and impossibilities, and an introduction to the renowned Israeli poet Rachel Blaustein.

This ten-week course is intended for students who can read and translate some verses and short paragraphs. During this course we will work on reading and understanding verses and short paragraphs graded from an easy to a more complex style and vocabulary. During class we will also parse nouns, verbs, and prepositions from those texts. We will be using two books: Tanakh and Learning Biblical Hebrew workbook-A Graded Reader with Exercises.
